Readers who evaluate the Meridian typically open two citations and check that each says what we claim. Making that hard would only slow the evaluation.
The laws and regulations are open because the law is public
We add structure, provision-level citations, currency and provenance. A form in front of the underlying material would add none of these.
The method is public because it is the basis for relying on LegisGate
Each law records who it covers, and fixed rules compare your answers with that. An unanswered question is never silently treated as a “no”, and a citation that is not verified stays in draft. A product whose method is not disclosed is a black box, and counsel cannot rely on a black box.
